APPLE PIE SUNDAE SMOOTHIE

This is sooo good! APPLE PIE SUNDAE SMOOTHIE. This smoothie tastes like warm apple pie with cold vanilla ice cream - this is pure deliciousness and all raw! This dessert/beverage is fully packed with raw real fruit and nuts and is rich in protein and healthy fats! This smoothie is perfect before workouts or on days when you need a lot of energy. And did I say: it tastes like good rich sweet warm apple pie.

The base of this smoothie is nut milk, apples, banana, lemon juice and warming spices and you can even add in some baby spinach to get your greens on - it doesn't change the taste, I promise :) The vanilla ice cream is made of pure ripe bananas, vanilla and dates to keep it low in fat, but if you want even more healthy fats use coconut meat for a whip like cream. Yum yum.

This smoothie is prepared in under 1 minute (if you have frozen bananas on hand) and will bring you through the day. This is raw real nutrition. Yes please!

APPLE PIE SUNDAE SMOOTHIE
Serves 2

Apple pie smoothie
1/2 cup almonds (soak overnight for better digestibility)
2-3 red sweet big apples
1 large ripe banana
juice of 1/2 lemon
2 pitted dates
1 cup baby spinach (optional)
1 t pure vanilla extract
1 t cinnamon powder
1/2 t nutmeg
pinch of sea salt
1 cup warm water

Vanilla ice cream
2 large ripe bananas, frozen overnight
2 pitted dates
1 t pure vanilla extract

Chopped apple, shredded raw chocolate, cinnamon, almonds or what you like to garnish your smoothie with.

For the apple pie smoothie, blend almonds with warm water to get a thick almond milk. Add in chopped apples and banana, lemon juice, dates and spinach. Blend until creamy. Add in spices and blend until mixed well. If you have a high speed blender, you can even blend a little bit longer to warm up your smoothie a little bit more. Pour smoothie into your smoothie jar.
For the vanilla ice cream, blend bananas, dates and vanilla extract in a high speed blender until ice cream consistency. Spoon over smoothie and sprinkle with more apple, chocolate, cinnamon and almonds.

Enjoy!
